Mathematical Modeller for Technical Consultancy in the Nuclear Industry

We are looking for a Mathematical Modeller to take the lead in developing and managing an enhanced modelling capability within our company. The appointment would be at a senior level.

You will have leading experience in using and developing mathematical models for nuclear industry applications. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in modelling in support of the development of safety cases for repositories, but candidates with other nuclear industry experience are also welcome to apply. You should have experience in managing and directing technical projects.

Excellent communication skills are required, as is the ability to deliver high quality technical reports to tight deadlines. There will be opportunities to make an important contribution towards the development of our rapidly growing company.

You will be ambitious, results driven and have excellent academic credentials. Candidates are expected to be self-motivated and have the skills to work effectively with other people. You would work from our office in Penrith or potentially from another location. During the current Coronavirus pandemic, most of our staff are currently home working, which will be possible for all applicants until the pandemic working restrictions have been lifted.

Our business is expanding and we have recently moved into our new bespoke office premises in Penrith, Cumbria.

Salary: Competitive, including an annual company profit share.
